Terms and Conditions
Our tours are a great introduction to Australian nature & wildernesses areas and are adventure learning journeys where our intention includes maximising enjoyment for all and engaging with the wonder of nature, and the places we visit, and the people we meet.
On our extended some journeys, we require permits to enter Aboriginal traditional and protected areas. We are travelling some routes that have been travelled for many thousands of years, and aim to remain flexible to maximise the experience for all, respecting local customs and protocols.
Always, our intention is to deliver great value for you – this is your journey. You are invited to share your intentions and objectives in joining us. This will provide clarity for you and will help us, and the people and communities we connect with to better deliver what you want.
Please complete the Booking Page or Booking Form and send to us online, or by email or mail to us as soon as possible to PO Box 488, Neutral Bay NSW 2089 or PREFERABLY to our email address.
Thank you ….. Spirit Safaris
Update to Terms and Conditions – December 29, 2020 – Travel insurance that includes cancellation cover for COVID-19 issues is recommended.
REVISED REFUND POLICY – Refunds are available with no penalty up to 30 days prior to departure date, if your request is received in writing (SMS or email preferred). Refunds requested with less than 30 days notice are subject to conditions as below in General terms & Conditions. NOTE – we always try to make refunds available if requested, even at short notice, but we may incur costs (eg relocation of vehicles and people, accommodation terms etc) that do not make 100% refund possible, hence the General Terms and Conditions as below.
Exceptions to 30 day notice refund policy – As some accommodation venues require 100 days notice of cancellation for refunds, if you have an accommodation booking that includes one of these venues (eg APT at Imitji / Bell Gorge or Mitchell Falls), we need 110 days written notice to enable refunds of that accommodation, if your tour is affected by COVID-19 issues or border closures. Otherwise our 30 day cancellation policy applies

Special booking & refund conditions for Bookings for tours affected by Covid-19 restrictions.
We comply with COVID-19 compliance and cleaning conditions recommended by all states in which we operate.
Due to Covid-19 creating uncertainty regarding border openings, lifting of non-essential travel restrictions and social distancing requirements, Spirit Safaris have introduced special leniency for bookings in 2020 and 2021.
Tailored tours are available for your family or group. We operate tours from 2 -4 passengers in Toyota Landcruisers or for families up to 7. We also can combine vehicles for convoys or larger groups.
Tours booked for 2021 departures will be reserved with a minimum $200 deposit which will be fully refundable if COVID-19 restrictions limit travel, and a written claim is received at least 90 days prior to tour departure. Discounts may be offered for early payment, and funds paid on that basis will also be refundable as above. Accommodation from third parties may have other restrictions, so may not be refundable as above. Please ask if relevant.
These “Special booking & refund conditions for Bookings for tours in 2020 affected by Covid-19 restrictions” override the refund policy of our General Terms and Conditions as below. Other aspects of the General Terms and Conditions remain the same. When it is clear restrictions are lifted and tours can proceed, 20% deposit will be requested, or full payment if within payment day depending on specific tours days of departure.
