Day 1 – Broken Hill to Wilpena Pound (Flinders Ranges)
Pickup from Broken Hill and travel through classic saltbush country into the Flinders Ranges. Stop at historic outback towns en route before arriving at Wilpena Pound Resort. Sunset strolls and wildlife are a highlight.
Day 2 – Wilpena Pound walks + Brachina Gorge Geological Trail + Marree
Optional scenic flight over Wilpena Pound (recommended). Walk options include Wangarra Lookout and Hills Homestead. Travel via the renowned Brachina Gorge Geological Trail, then on to Marree—gateway to Lake Eyre and the Oodnadatta Track.
Day 3 – Lake Eyre Scenic Flight + Oodnadatta Track + Mound Springs + Coober Pedy
Take your included Lake Eyre scenic flight from Marree (extended flight options may be available). Then follow the historic Oodnadatta Track, visiting Old Ghan Railway sites and (where timing allows) Wabma Kadarbu / mound springs features. Arrive Coober Pedy for underground life and opal-mining history, with an underground overnight experience.
Day 4 – Coober Pedy to Uluru (Yulara) via Stuart Highway
Head north along the Stuart Highway through vast outback landscapes, with classic roadhouse stops and big-sky views. Arrive Yulara for sunset viewing at Uluru.
Day 5 – Uluru & Kata Tjuta (Valley of the Winds)
Sunrise and day touring around Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Visit the Cultural Centre and enjoy guided walks and viewing points. (Cultural experiences vary by availability and local conditions.)
Day 6 – Uluru morning + tour concludes
Morning time at leisure for additional base walks or relaxing at Yulara. Tour typically concludes mid-morning, with options to extend your Red Centre stay or connect onward (e.g., Alice Springs / West MacDonnell Ranges) by arrangement.
