The WA government has officially closed the Canning Stock Route indefinitely for 2021 hence this Canning Stock Route Alternative Tour Update 2021. The government says they are reviewing monthly, but WA has a record of fast shut downs.

With this much uncertainty, we have provided alternatce tours via Simpson Desert as follows from Broome return and from Alice Springs return.

Steve’s tours are photo-project driven and, while the projects are entirely of your own choosing, we will be available day and night to assist with any project you are working on be it fine art, story telling, documenting close ups, wildlife, landscapes or botanical imaging.  Throughout Steve’s career he has have found that the highest return of images comes from working to a specific project ensuring that by tours’ end you come away with an expanded photography knowledge.

The Simpson Desert is the name given to the area between Birdsville in the South West Corner of Queensland to Dalhousie Springs in the far north of South Australia near the Northern Territory border. It lies across the corners of 3 States – South Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory. The route we take is a Combined Route – a tailored  route that enables us to see as much as possible of the area in the one trip, taking in a little of each track.
