Fire Is a symbol of passion
– it ignites and stirs that inner light that Mandela refers to, and burns out the dead wood thinking that is too easy to be trapped in. Fire is also warming and
nurturing. As we journey, and around the campfire, under 10 billion stars in the middle of the vast emptiness of the Australian deserts, men find a new depth and sense of connection to themselves and their role as a man. The journey is an unfolding to great personal clarity as we let go of the noise and stress of mundane life. The desert shows us a
vitality that blossoms from emptiness – that may lie dormant for years. Now, after teaming rains,
