From Sydney via Botany Bay, viewing La Perouse (French) and Kurnell (Captain Cooks landing place) to scenic Bulli Lookout with spectacular views over Wollongong and the NSW South Coast to Kiama, Nowra and beyond.

After a delicious morning tea at Bulli Lookout, arrive in Wollongong (or optionally the Nan Tien Temple) for free time to explore and / or swim Wollongong beach or explore the Nan Tien Temple (largest Buddhist Temple in Southern Hemisphere)

After a delicious lunch, explore some of the famous local sites. Wollongong is a thriving multicultural city, home to Australia largest steelworks, with a rich natural and local history.

Return via the GRAND PACIFIC DRIVE which encompasses 70 kms of some of NSW’s most spectacular scenery and coastline. Heading south from the Royal National Park (world’s second oldest), the route takes you through beautiful coastal rainforests, spectacular driving scenery with close proximity to sheer cliffs and the ocean, the impressive 665 metre newly opened sea bridge and quaint coastal villages boasting some of the state’s most beautiful beaches and rock pools.

Grand Pacific Drive takes you into Wollongong, which is a bustling coastal city with a vast array of attractions and activities for any visitor. From Wollongong you can head south to Shellharbour, Kiama ,Shoalhaven or beyond, or head west and travel over the escarpment to the Southern Highlands and then south to Canberra.

A great option for a day visit, short stay or as a great appetiser to the ‘Sydney to Melbourne Coastal Drive’. Just 1 hour from Sydney and 2.5 hours from Canberra, Grand Pacific Drive is a must for all those want to experience some of the state’s finest assets.
