We have a chuckle and wonder at the giant desert dog, hover bus and other desert sculptures of Mutonia Sculpture Park. We stop to view Lake Eyre South from a local vantage point, before arriving at natural warm freshwater springs bursting out of the desert floor. "The Bubbler". and "Blanche Cup" springs are free flowing water supplies from the Great Artesian Basin under mainland Australia.

We take a break with a swim option at Coward Springs an Old Ghan railway town. Enjoy the warm waters and clear energies of this desert oasis. After lunch we continue on the Oodnadatta Track for William Creek. An optional Painted Desert flight is available here if prearranged.
