This journey is an opportunity to reflect, honour and develop creative
relationships with the land, each other, and with the traditional Aboriginal
caretakers, songmasters, singers and dancers from the land we travel. We
experience extraordinary landscapes, and sacred sites, explore and relax in
these places and share each participants unique gifts of creativity and place in
creation .... with the aim of having fun, and enriching all life.

Friday the day before for the opening night celebrations of the Beanie Festival

Day 1 –
Saturday 28 June - Depart Alice Springs 9am for morning tea at the Henley
Meteorite Craters. take a walk around this fascinating multi impacted crater
site. Watch out for camels as we follow the Ernest Giles Road and Range to
Kings Canyon. Experience
the mighty Kings Canyon with a 3 hour walk. Visit the “Garden of
Eden”, and the spectacular north and south walls. Relax back at camp with
the resort facilities available,
Day 2 - Depart Kings Canyon via 4 WD Mereenie
Loop track through this spectacular Central Deserts landscape toward
the Western McDonnell Ranges via the Gardiner Range, the Camels
Hump and Katapata Pass to Gosse Bluff comet crater. We enter
the crater and spent some quiet time here with a short walk to the lookout where
the dimensions of time, space and your place in the Universe can be seen in a
new perspective. Later view the crater via sweeping views from Tyler's
Pass to see one of the highest peaks in the region, Mt Sonder.
Tonight, nestle in to
Glen Helen resort for an optional swim, walks & overnight camp
and a tasty meal at the outback restaurant.

Day 3 -
Enjoy great energy and scenery at
Ormiston Gorges, the Ochre Pits and
Serpentine Gorge, on the Larapinta Trail before another night
at Glen Helen.
Day 4
- Walks at Stanley Chasm, Simpson’s Gap and spectacular rock art
at Wallace Rockhole Aboriginal Community. Arrive Alice Springs
via Larapinta Drive and Honeymoon Gap.
Day 5 - Visit Palm Valley
for a walk in this ancient eerie landscape, and later Hermannsburg Mission
and art centre. Hear Albert Namatjira story and try the Devonshire teas !
while viewing the wonderful art on display and for sale.
Day 6
- Thursday July 3 - Tour sector ends after breakfast. Time for
travelling on up the Tanami Track to Broome or stay in Alice and
see more of the rich sights such as
Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air, Overland Telegraph
Station, Araluen Art & Cultural Centre, Rainbow Valley,
Air or Transport Museum
or flights home. |
